OSRS Leagues VI: Demonic Pacts — Complete Guide (April 2026)

Leagues 6: Demonic Pacts launched 15 April 2026 and runs for eight weeks, ending 10 June 2026. It replaces the linear combat-mastery tree from Raging Echoes with a 130-node Pact Tree, opens in Yama's Lair instead of Misthalin, and disables Sailing entirely. Below is everything a returning or first-time player needs: region unlock schedule, Pact Tree mechanics, the eight relic tiers, build framework, and the Dragon-trophy roadmap.

What's new vs Raging Echoes (Leagues 5)

If you played the previous league (Raging Echoes, Nov 2024 – Jan 2025), the headline differences:

  • Combat masteries are now Pacts. The linear mastery tree is replaced by a non-linear 130-node Pact Tree with 5 full resets across the league.
  • You start in Varlamore, not Misthalin. First league with Misthalin (Lumbridge, Varrock, Edgeville) entirely locked.
  • Echo bosses return, with potentially different rewards and bosses.
  • Sailing is excluded from the league as it released too recently.
  • All players are forced Ironmen (unchanged from Raging Echoes).

How the league works

Leagues are limited-time game modes where Old School RuneScape's progression rules get rewritten. Your league character is a forced Ironman, separate from your main account — nothing carries over either way except cosmetic rewards. Demonic Pacts ties the experience to Yama, the demonic boss added in late 2024. Players begin with level 3 Herblore, level 5 Runecraft, and have Rune Mysteries and Druidic Ritual auto-completed.

The headline mechanic: instead of unlocking combat masteries linearly, you spend up to 40 Pact Points across 130+ nodes on a non-linear tree. Each node grants a specific combat boost — an attack-speed buff, a damage modifier on a particular monster type, an effect that procs on hit, a Thorns-style reflection. You build the tree to fit the content you want to grind, and you can fully reset it up to five times across the league.

Region unlock schedule

Yama, the demonic boss tied to OSRS Leagues 6 Demonic Pacts

You begin in Yama's Lair, sign your demonic pact, then exit into Varlamore. Five regions unlock in this order:

  1. Varlamore — free at start, full region accessible from day 1.
  2. Karamja — automatic at 80 tasks (universal area, does not count against your 3 picks).
  3. Region pick #1 — at 200 tasks.
  4. Region pick #2 — at 300 tasks.
  5. Region pick #3 — at 450 tasks.

The pickable pool is Asgarnia, Desert, Kandarin, Kourend, Morytania, Tirannwn, Fremennik, and Wilderness. Every region holds roughly the same total task points, so unlike previous leagues you can pick by content interest rather than point math.

Region picks by playstyle

  • End-game PvM: Morytania (Theatre of Blood), Kourend (Tombs of Amascut), Wilderness (Wilderness bosses).
  • Skilling-focused: Fremennik (gathering hubs), Asgarnia (agility shortcuts), Tirannwn (crystal tools).
  • Quest grinder: Kandarin, Tirannwn, Desert — highest concentration of XP-reward quests.
  • Money-making: Wilderness (bossing wealth), Desert (Pyramid Plunder), Morytania (Vyrewatch slayer).

The Pact Tree explained

There are 44 total Pact Points earnable across the three pickable regions (Varlamore, Karamja, and general tasks not included), but you can only spend up to 40 at any one time. Two points are granted in the Leagues tutorial. You always start at the centre of the tree and spend your first point there. After that, as long as you have at least one connected pact unlocked, you can branch anywhere.

Use the official OSRS Wiki Pact Planner to map your route before you spend points in-game. Notable node categories:

  • Echo nodes — trigger a free additional hit (ranged or melee) that rolls with your accuracy against the target's defence.
  • Blindbag — chance per melee attack with a heavy weapon to trigger an instant extra hit.
  • Thorns — while a shield is equipped, attackers take melee damage per hit (pair with Dinh's Bulwark for AFK content).
  • Style multipliers — flat damage, accuracy, and special-attack regen modifiers per combat style.

Reset rules

The Pact Tree can be fully reset up to five times across the league. The meta tree for skilling tasks is not the meta tree for Echo bosses — you'll use most of your resets.

  1. Reset 1: free, granted at start.
  2. Reset 2: defeat The Hueycoatl.
  3. Reset 3: defeat the Echo Boss in your second unlocked region.
  4. Reset 4: defeat the Echo Boss in your third region.
  5. Reset 5: defeat the Echo Boss in your fourth region.

PvP rules: Pact stat-boosts and attack-speed effects work normally against players. Procs like Thorns, Echoes, and Blindbag do not trigger against players — so PvP isn't decided by RNG.

The 8 relic tiers

Relics are permanent league buffs unlocked at fixed League Point thresholds. Eight tiers, three options per tier. Tier 4 is the major inflection point — drop rates jump to 5×.

Tier LP cost Notable picks
10 (start)Endless Harvest (2× resources, never deplete) · Barbarian Gathering · Abundance
2600Hotfoot (passive Agility XP, auto-cook) · Friendly Forager · Woodsman
31,200Map of Alacrity (teleport to any agility shortcut) · Bank Heist · Evil Eye
42,600Butler's Bell (offline gathering) · Transmute (resource tier-shifting) · Conniving Clues
55,200Larcenist (10× thieving loot) · Nature's Accord (10× farm yield) · Soul Harvest
68,500Grimoire (free spellbook swap) · Eternal Sustenance · Culling Spree
716,500Flow State (2-tick gathering for 10 skills) · Reloaded
828,000Executioner (Sage's axe execute under 20% HP) · Minion · Flask of Fervour

Recommended early relic order

A safe default opening, drawn from Laef's starting guide on the Wiki:

  1. Tier 1: Endless Harvest — 2× resources for every gather, the rest of the league.
  2. Tier 2: Hotfoot — passive Agility XP while you run anywhere, free skill cape. Alternative: Friendly Forager if you want passive Herblore and bulk-process potions.
  3. Tier 3: Map of Alacrity — kills travel time across every region pick. Alternative: Bank Heist if you spend more time bank-hopping than agility-shortcutting.
  4. Tier 4: Butler's Bell — turns offline time into resource accumulation. Alternative: Transmute for active flexibility and infinite Nature runes.

XP and drop multipliers by tier

Stage XP Drops Other
League start (Tier 1)Unlimited run, 4× minigame points
After Tier 2 (600 LP)
After Tier 4 (2,600 LP)12×Drop multiplier jumps here · 8× minigame points
After Tier 6 (8,500 LP)16×Endgame multiplier

Echo bosses guarantee drops once you exceed 2× the underlying drop rate — a direct answer to RNG complaints from prior leagues. Drop consolidations also apply: multi-component items merge so the last piece doesn't gate the whole reward.

Build framework (pick one, commit)

Five build archetypes dominate the early-league meta. Each combines three separate game systems: Pact Tree nodes, relics, and Echo Equipment (boss-drop weapons). The shared pattern: heavy investment in a single damage condition that compounds with relics. Don't dilute your pact picks across multiple builds.

  • Fang of the Hound (melee): Lightweight Fang with 2-tick attack-speed pacts and fire-tree damage buffs. Highest single-target DPS for bossing. Best for Echo-boss pushers.
  • Blindbag Halberd (melee/ranged hybrid): Heavy melee weapon plus the Blindbag pact for an extra hit per swing. Top all-rounder for skilling bosses, slayer, and general PvM. Most flexible if you're not sure what content you'll run.
  • Defence / Thorns tank: Full Thorn tree with Dragonfire Shield or Dinh's Bulwark. Reflection scales with defence, so once your defence is high you AFK kill almost everything. Slow to build, unmatched once complete — ideal for casual passive XP.
  • Airbender (magic): Built around the Air Keystone, Shadow Flame Quadrant, and Devil's Element echo equipment. Synergises with Air spells and Prayer bonuses. Requires investment in magic gear and the right elemental relics.
  • King's Barrage (ranged): Built around the King's Barrage crossbow (echo equipment). Pact-tree investment in healing-on-damage and accuracy stacks. Strong PvM and slayer choice; freeze duration makes solo bossing trivial.

Specific damage and accuracy numbers vary; check your in-game stat screen and consult the official Wiki guide for the values that match your gear and pact stack.

First-hour walkthrough

  1. Open the Leagues menu and complete the in-game tutorial (10 LP, plus 2 free Pact Points).
  2. Pick Endless Harvest as your starter relic.
  3. Claim free items from the Leagues Tutor — starter gear and supplies.
  4. Run a Yama Agility Course lap. The Leagues version allows Agility from level 1 via stepping stones.
  5. Pickpocket Citizens, then Bakery stalls, until 20 Thieving.
  6. Buy tools — bird snares, hammer, chisel, knife — for skilling.
  7. If launch crowds make Hunter spots packed, AFK Endless Harvest skilling for day 1 and come back to Hunter rumours at 46 once the crowd thins.
  8. Block list: complete Death on the Isle at 50 Thieving before unlocking Karamja for an efficient Slayer block list.

Target: ~600 League Points by end of session 1 to unlock Hotfoot (Tier 2). The 8× XP multiplier compounds for the rest of the league, so pushing this in your first session pays back hours later.

Trophy thresholds and reward shop

Trophy Required LP Difficulty
Bronze2,000~6 hours casual
Iron4,000~10–15 hours
Steel10,000~25–30 hours
Mithril22,000~50–60 hours
Adamant32,000~80–100 hours
Rune47,500Heavy commitment, all relics
Dragon65,000Full Master sweep, top 0.1%

Bronze through Mithril trophies are shield-slot items; Adamant and Dragon are two-handed. All have a unique emote on right-click. Beyond trophies, the cosmetic Reward Shop also sells:

  • Demonic Pacts Hunter Outfit (3 tiers) — Hunter set bonuses
  • Iban's staff override (2,000 LP)
  • Demonic skin contract (3,000 LP) — red skin colour
  • Demon butler scroll (4,000 LP) — butler cosmetic
  • Soulreaper axe override (10,000 LP)

The 8-week plan (chill-player edition)

  1. Week 1: Tier 1–2 relics + first 80 tasks. Karamja unlocks; Hotfoot active.
  2. Week 2: Tier 3 + 200 tasks. Map of Alacrity + 2nd region pick.
  3. Weeks 3–4: Tier 4 + 300 tasks. Butler's Bell active; 5× drops; 3rd region.
  4. Weeks 4–5: First reset, refine build. Hueycoatl reset becomes available.
  5. Weeks 5–6: Tier 5–6 + 450 tasks. 4th region; Grimoire unlocks build flexibility.
  6. Week 7: Tier 7 (16× XP, Flow State). Endgame grinding mode.
  7. Week 8: Master task sweep. Push for highest trophy possible.

Three things matter for a relaxed run that still hits Dragon: (1) pick regions for content, not point math (every region's task pool now totals roughly the same); (2) front-load the relic grind (the 16× XP at Tier 6 compounds every action you take afterward); (3) use your free reset early to find a build you enjoy before late-league commits.

What's banned and what's gentler than it sounds

Sailing is disabled. Old School RuneScape's first new skill in years is now live in the main game, but Leagues 6 doesn't include it — Jagex's stated rationale is to keep league design self-contained.

Misthalin is fully locked. No Lumbridge, no Varrock, no Edgeville. Falador and Asgarnia are pickable but require unlocking.

Wilderness is gentler than its main-game reputation. League PvP deaths are gravestone-style — you lose nothing. Past leagues have shown most Wilderness griefing fades after the first week as PKers move on. Don't let the region's reputation scare you off — the resource access (herbs, runes) and bossing options make it a strong value pick.

Keeping your main moving while you league

Eight weeks of Leagues 6 means eight weeks where your main account isn't getting touched. If you have a quest cape grind, an Infernal Cape task, or a piece of end-game gear sitting unfinished — that's exactly when an in-game service makes sense. Probemas has been running since 2013, longer than any of the seasonal leagues:

  • OSRS Power Leveling & Boosting — skill grinds, raids, Infernal Cape, Combat Achievements while you're in the league.
  • Buy OSRS Gold — supplies for league rewards once carryover items hit the live game.
  • OSRS Items — specific gear for your main account.
  • Sell RS Gold — convert main-account surplus to cash if you're focusing on league for the next eight weeks.

Players grinding Endless Harvest gathering will see most synergy with our OSRS fishing guide and our fastest OSRS skills to 99 guide — the same XP-density principles apply doubly under 16× XP.
